integrates program planning, education & training, research & development,
and policy services for sustainable development since 2001.*  *Governed by

Coordinator position.

*Major Duties: *



The Program Coordinator works under general supervision of the Program
Director, requiring a high degree of professional responsibility in project
management, program planning & implementation, data management, and program
evaluation.  Duties largely require office-based Coordination with some
potential field site visits. Duties include:



v Program documentation;

v Outreach to North Carolina's agricultural retailer markets for application
assistance with the *21st Century Farmers' Markets* program, general USDA
FNS/NC DHHS assistance, and hands-on enrollment of markets for a multitude
of commerce services;

v Oversight in participatory research efforts, assistance with community
food assessments, and geographic information systems (GIS) data management.

v Moderation/facilitation of community partnerships, nutrition outreach, and
social marketing efforts;

v Project Management with all agricultural participants in the *21st Century
Farmers' Markets* program;

v Client Account Assistance related to markets' commerce system needs and
options, plus operations training & support;

v Other duties deemed necessary for successful implementation of the
program, its continued development and fulfillment of *The Leaflight
Inc.*strategic plan and vision.

*Requirements: *



v Honesty, integrity, reliability, and trustworthiness;

v Self-disciplined, detail-oriented, and collaborative work-style ability;

v Excellent organizational, communication, critical thinking, and project
management skills;**

v Broad knowledge of program development, implementation, applied research
and evaluation; Community Food Systems; theoretical and pragmatic
agricultural, public health and nutrition practices;

v Internet, Web 2.0, Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email
proficiency;**

*Preferred: *

*Some combination of the following:*

* *

v Experience working with farmers;**

v Non-profit, civic engagement, economic development and/or related business
experience;

v Nutritional, Dietetic and/or Public Health experience;

v Social Services and/or related experience;

v Database and Web development skills;

v ArcGIS, Google Earth, Virtual Earth mapping skills and/or familiarity with
GIS data;

v Commerce applications & systems experience;

v Spanish.

*Some combination of the following education and experience: *



v Master's degree, preferably in a field related to sustainable development,
public health, social services, business, and/or agriculture;

v Bachelor's degree with three years of program coordination and
development, preferably in a field related to sustainable development,
public health, social services, business, and/or agriculture.
